I love to learn and accomplish new things and take on new challenges. I’m driven by my desire to be great at anything I do. These are traits that bring an unwavering level of commitment to the families we help here at Fireside Financial.

I use a blend of “old-school” and modern procedures. I believe in the values of community and integrity, and their importance within the financial world to help people feel connected to the support team they surround themselves with.

I am happy to work with clients in whatever capacity they are comfortable with, be that virtually or in-person, through emails, snail mail, or a handwritten note sent by carrier pigeon. I’ve come to find that, for many people, technology can be a challenge. I’m here to help bridge that gap and help them feel at ease.

I believe I’m a good teacher and I enjoy working with clients to ensure they are comfortable with our processes, whether it’s understanding what documents mean, or logging on to our website to access their client portal.

I ensure the operations of the business run smoothly and efficiently, always going the extra mile to provide the highest level of service. We don’t use robotic appointment scheduling systems. If you need to meet with us, I will speak with you personally and ensure your needs are taken care of.

Having worked in customer service for 30 years as well as guiding wilderness trips, I know what it’s like when people may be uncomfortable in an environment or situation. I like to reassure people that they are working with someone who has expertise and can be trusted to act in their best interest.

I have an Associates degree in Business Management. Prior to my role here at Fireside I started my career working in restaurant management. But after more than two decades working through the whirlwind of the hospitality trade, I decided it was time for a change of pace.

I was in the process of starting my own business guiding wilderness trips when David approached me in 2018 about a part-time job that would supplement my time and income as I navigated that start up. As the months and years went by I really loved what I was doing and started taking on a larger role in the firm.

I have a wonderful partner of 29 years, Sarah, and three daughters, Ocean 22, Maddie 19, and Annabelle 15. We lived in San Francisco until Ocean was about 1 year old then moved back to Northern Wisconsin in 2001.

We’re so grateful to live here on the shores of Lake Superior and be a part of this amazing community. We love being so close to wilderness with easy access to canoeing, camping, and hiking. We like to play a lot of indoor and outdoor games and you’ll often find us hanging out at our firepit, even in January when it’s below zero!

I believe my breadth of professional and personal experience leaves me perfectly placed to help the families we work with, and ensure they receive the very best level of care and support as we help them ignite their financial confidence.
